The U.S. Naval Hospital Ship Comfort arrived at Pier 90 in New York on Mar. 30, 2020.

With the capacity of 1,000-bed 12 operating rooms, a medical laboratory, and more than 1,000 officers, the Navy hospital ship will take patients with other medical problems to relieve New York hospitals overrun by coronavirus infected patients. However, the ship only treated 182 patients in three and a half weeks despite high expectations to help ease the strain on overburdened city hospitals dealing with the novel coronavirus outbreak. After all, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said its facilities were no longer needed and that the Comfort officially departed New York harbor on Apr. 30, 2020.

#ICPConcerned: Global Images for Global Crisis
I am highly honored to be a part of the great exhibition initiated and curated by ICP amid pandemic, I would like to share this great news with you.

Here is an excerpt from ICP.

"In June, ICP initiated an evolving #ICPConcerned exhibition in its largest gallery space. One thousand images are being chosen by a wide range of ICP staff—curators, administrators, and educators. Photographers are being contacted, and prints made in the gallery space. For a time, no one was able to visit but the process and the installation were documented and shown online, taking the images back to the worldwide audience that made them. Now, the returning public will be able to come see a visual account of this tumultuous era.The number of photographs in the show heads toward one thousand, and so far, represents submissions from over 60 countries. Images responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and in support of Black Lives Matter expose the effects of corporate greed, mass unemployment, ecological crisis, and deep fear about the future.  What we interpreted as “normal” pre-pandemic is being challenged by what we have learned about the interconnectedness of our problems and the interdependence of our lives."
